Our Unique Program

A Perfect Fit

The program at “Pimpoyo Home Family Daycare” is based on the principles of respect, community, responsibility and love for each other. Through exploration and discovery we will navigate our well balanced curriculum that will allow children to explore and develop their imagination, creativity and self-awareness. They will be exposed to different themes every month, and we will immerse ourselves in the theme, exploring it in many different ways. Children will partake in different activities such as learning facts, songs, crafts, music, practicing and developing fine motor and gross motor skills and outdoor time.

To structure our day we break it down into the following sections:

- 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM Welcome. During welcoming time as everyone comes on different moment and at their own pace, there is plenty of time for free play and exploration. The children freely grab toys or books and play with them and they greet each other as more of them arrive. The free play turns into structured play as the group grows, they are offered a variety of educational and sensorial games for them to remain busy until the next section of the day begins.

- 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM Morning snack.

- 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Learning circle, Calendar activities, days of the week song, weather songs. We work on the Theme of the Month doing crafts, learning new songs, and immersing more in depth about such theme.

- 10:30 AM to 11:30 PM Outdoor play or Indoor Playground Time, depending on the weather.

- 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM Lunch.

- 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Nap.

- 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM Afternoon snack.

- 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM Structured play. This involves story reading, art projects, singing and dancing, educational games among others.

- 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM Free play and farewells.
